Discovery West ‘Launches’ new gathering place called Discovery Corner with special event

Discovery West, a neighborhood on the west side of Bend, showed off its new gathering place, called Discovery Corner this weekend. "The Launch" was a chance to celebrate, and many people came out for the fun-filled two-day event. There was live music, food vendors, and a roundabout book sale. Discovery West named 19 of its streets after women in history -- "The Women of Discovery." On Saturday, people got to meet one of those Women of Discovery --Dr. Ellen Ochoa, a former NASA astronaut.
