ODOT crews reopen Highway 101 on Oregon coast after landslide forces closure for several hours
MANZANITA, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A landslide closed U.S. Highway 101 early Monday morning for several hours but it was fully open again by the noon hour, ODOT reported.
The slide occurred about two miles north of Manzanita, at the south end of Oswald West State Park.
One lane was open by mid-morning as crews worked to clear debris, allowing traffic in both directions using flaggers.
Once fully reopened, ODOT said it would continue to monitor the site and could need to close a lane occasionally for further maintenance.
Motorists were warned to slow down and watch out for road crews.
