PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — The City of Prineville is once again inviting community members to meet three candidates vying to become the city’s next police chief, after a previous round of three finalists failed to find approval of any of them.

The informal meet-and-greet with the three finalists will provide an opportunity for community members to meet the candidates, ask questions, and submit feedback to city leaders. Their names and backgrounds will be released next Tuesday.

The meet-and-greet will be held on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Ron’s Comfort Food Café, located at Meadow Lakes Golf Course. Refreshments will be provided.

Following the community event, on Thursday, the candidates will participate in meetings with four panels consisting of regional public safety professionals, community leaders, and members of the Prineville Police Department.

Last month, three finalists came to town for a similar set of meetings, and after that, the city announced that none were chosen, and another round of searching got underway.
