REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Redmond police requested the community’s help Monday in finding a 40-year-old resident who left his workplace Saturday and had not been seen since. He was found in Bend a short time later, police said in an update.

David Holmes left his place of work around 12: 30 p.m. Saturday, and around 3 p.m. sent a message to a family member on social media, Lieutenant Eric Beckwith said in the initial report.

“Mr. Holmes left his phone at his place of work and may be currently suffering from a mental health crisis,” Beckwith added.

Holmes  family has been trying to locate him and is seeking the community’s assistance, Beckwith said.

Around 11:15 a.m., Beckwith issued an update that said Holmes had been located in Bend.

"We thank media and the community for efforts to locate Mr. Holmes," the lieutenant said.
