St. Charles struggling to fill nearly 600 job openings, a record

St. Charles Health System has approximately 600 job openings, the most they've ever had at one time. The positions include registered nurses, as well as clinical and administrative support. NewsChannel 21 talked to an official about the impact it's having.

  1. well when you have the blue states wanting to extend the unemployment benefits through the summer what can you expect noone wants to work. This being summer lot of people rather be outside soaking up the rays and enjoying nature then working. Good luck at st chuck’s and wonder if anyone who does work there will be briefed on how much the hospital makes by adding covid to people’s death certificates.

  2. Finally! Proof I have been saying all along and no one believed me! The state of Oregon requires so many nurses per patient. If they dont have enough nurses they can’t run full capacity. All these reports of the hospital bursting at the seams with COVID patients leads people to beleive that the the hospital is out of beds. The hospital is NOT out of beds, it’s out of staff. People are leaving Oregon in droves. I lost two Doctors to Texas in 14 months.
