Bend police, Deschutes County deputies square off in go-kart ‘Battle of the Badges’ for a worthy cause

The Bend Police Department and Deschutes County Sheriff's Office squared off Tuesday night at K1 Speed in the first annual Battle of the Badges, a fun family event and fundraiser for NeighborImpact, where everyone had a great time.

While the sheriff's office won the racing part of the event, Bend police raised more funds, $2,522 to DCSO's $2,280, though donations were still being accepted Thursday.
