Bend middle school students walk out of class, stage street corner rally in support of ‘learning levy’
About 30 middle school students walked out of class and gathered at a NorthWest Crossing street corner on Tuesday, urging passers-by to vote for a levy on next week's primary ballot that officials say would head off staff reductions.
