The Great Easter Flip: From Powder to Patio Weather

Today’s Outlook: The Thaw Begins
After a frosty start this morning, Central Oregon is officially under a "warming trend" alert. A high-pressure ridge is moving in, which means the heavy coats can stay in the closet this afternoon.

  • High: Mid to upper 60s – a massive jump from yesterday.
  • Sky: Wall-to-wall sunshine.
  • Tonight: Still crisp. Expect a lows in the low 30s, maybe even dipping into the upper 20s-- so protect any early spring starts in the garden.

The Easter Weekend Scorecard
If you have outdoor plans, the forecast is leaning heavily in your favor. We are looking at "Bluebird" conditions across the High Desert.

  • Saturday: Temperatures climb to 70°F.
  • Easter Sunday: Perfectly timed. Highs will peak in the mid-70s. While some clouds will drift in during the afternoon, it’s staying dry.
  • Sunrise Services: If you’re heading out around 6:40 AM, it’ll be a chilly 40°F, so definitely keep the layers handy for the early morning egg hunts.

The Mountain "Miracle"
The timing couldn't be better for spring skiers. Just as the valley warms up, the Cascades are sitting on a fresh gift from nature.

  • The Conditions: Expect "Hero Snow" in the mornings—firm and fast—turning into that classic, soft spring slush by 1:00 PM. It is rare to get a 12-inch powder refresh right before a 75-degree weekend, so enjoy the best of both seasons while it lasts!
