Local Alert Weather Day: Dangerous Air Quality today and early Wednesday

KTVZ

We have issued a Local Alert Day for Tonight and Tomorrow morning due to the wildfire smoke being transported into Central Oregon. The Cram Fire is continuing to push significant amounts of smoke into the region, especially along highway 97. This will continue into the night as the NE flow of wind is transporting the smoke into Central Oregon.

The winds will not relax much overnight so fire growth is anticipated to continue. The cooler nighttime temperatures will allow the smoke to settle down closer to the surface so the Air Quality in the morning may be even more impactful. Keep windows closed as much as possible and stay indoors.
