Spotty showers & mountain snow possible with near average temperatures
Happy Friday! Today brings a chance for rain and snow. Snow is possible in the higher elevations of the Cascades with rain expected in lower elevations. Any precipitation will, however, be spotty and temperatures have returned to near seasonal average.
The upper level low pressure system we've been tracking is still lingering off the coast and keeping our forecast relatively consistent for the short term.
Snow levels today are near 3700 feet but will drop even lower by tomorrow. Any precipitation along the Cascades and east slopes during the short term will be light, but temperatures and conditions have changed such that area resorts likely won’t be losing snow to mild weather.
Wind will be out of the South and Southwest at the 5-15mph range and picking up by late morning with gusts of 15-20 possible in some areas.
Highs will be in the 30s 40s and overnight lows in the 20s.
