A few passing showers this week, otherwise typical February pattern

There will be some cloud cover and a few stray showers to contend with over the next few days. The region should see a mix of clouds and sunshine in the daytime, with some clearing and pockets of fog overnight.

Temperatures over the next several days will hover around the low 40s, slightly cooler than normal as average highs for early February are the middle 40s. Overnight lows will dip into the low and middle 20s.

The Cascades will be pleased to see the addition of snow to the resorts, but not so pleased about traveling through the passes. There will not be a widespread, organized event this week but there will still be snow each of the next few days on the mountains.

The next chance for the area to see some snow at lower elevations, other than a stray shower, will be on Friday. Some light snow is forecast to push in from the north and give us a round of snow during the day. Not much more than an inch or so is expected, but it will create some travel issues.

Over the weekend the region will be dry and chilly as highs reach the middle 40s and lows dip to the middle 20s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
