Mostly cloudy today and mountain storms tomorrow
Storms and showers began Wednesday evening to our south, carried through into Thursday morning, and were scattered through the day yesterday. By the evening, storms had moved into northeast Oregon. Today, the storms and showers will pause and we’ll be mostly cloudy.
Tomorrow, isolated thunderstorms and showers will begin again but will mostly be focused along the Cascades. Western portions of our region, areas like Sisters, will have the best chance of seeing storms and showers on Saturday. A Flash Flood watch has been released for Saturday along the Cascades due to the excessive rainfall that is expected. Rainfall over burn scars of wildfires, where there is loose and dry debris, could be dangerous. Be safe if you are planning travel through the mountains on Saturday.
Today will be in the low 80s and upper 70s. Lows tonight will be in the 40s and 50s again. Lows will feel a little cooler due to the higher relative humidity.
By next week, clouds will start to clear up as the upper level low pressure regresses and moves north further away from us and we dry out. Temperatures will still remain a couple degrees below normal.
Happy Friday, have a great weekend!
