The heat up begins for the holiday weekend

Yesterday we were mild and today we are warming up! Temperatures will climb into those 80s today, even tipping into those 90s in a number of areas north of Redmond. There will be plenty of sunshine today with our dry conditions. Lows tonight will be in the 40s and 50s.

A ridge of high pressure dominates for a few days so tomorrow, expect to get even hotter, with all areas in the 90s. This hot pattern will remain throughout the weekend.

Sunday is the official first day of meteorological fall, which runs through the end of November. I know many are excited for those fall temperatures but we’ll have to hold out just a little because we’ll start the season feeling like mid-summer. Clouds in the afternoon on Sunday.

Labor Day should cool down back into the mid 80s. There is a slight chance of rain on Monday, but it looks like the chance will be much later in the day, so you shouldn’t have to worry about your holiday plans getting rained out.

Have a very happy Thursday!
