Warm and breezy Labor Day

On Sunday, we saw increasing cloud clover and a couple of pop up thunderstorms with light rain in the evening. Today, there is a slight chance of seeing some showers and thunderstorms later in the evening once again. We will be mostly cloudy for the entire day. Temperatures will drop into the 80s after a hot weekend in the 90s. Lows tonight will mostly be in the 40s.

Today will be breezy, with wind gusts reaching upwards of 35mph in Warm Springs. Most places will see gusts of 20-30mph this evening.

We will dry out and heat up by Wednesday. Temperatures will, once again, climb into the 90s and remain there for the week. Another ridge of high pressure will begin to build by mid-week and will dominate the forecast for a while. With these hotter and drier conditions ahead, we might have a little more to talk about when it comes to smoke and wildfire activity.

Happy Labor Day! Have a great Monday.
