Normal few days before another wet and cool pattern

Temperatures today will be mild and nearly normal. We’ll see highs reach the mid 70s this afternoon. Normal this time of year is around 77. Lows will be cold again! In the 30s and 40s. Southern Deschutes County will get close to freezing but clouds that roll in this evening should limit us from dropping too low. Just be prepared.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, seasonable. It’ll feel like a normal, dry, September day.

Air quality remains good for most cities and towns. Sunriver and nearby areas will see some of that lingering smoke today because of its proximity to the Bachelor Complex Fire.

On Sunday, a low pressure will drop in from the Gulf of Alaska bringing much cooler and wetter air. Highs will drop into the low 60s. Rain is expected to begin in the second half of the day Sunday and will slowly increase over the next few days.

Monday we’ll see rain throughout the day, scattered about. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning looks to be the best time for some more widespread and consistent rainfall. Showers will then move northeast out of Central Oregon Wednesday night and we’ll clear up by Thursday. Temperatures remain cool and below normal through the work week.
