Quiet and dry pattern to close out Summer 2024

The weather pattern will be on the quiet side for the next several days with mostly sunny days and clear and crisp nights.  The normal high temperature for this time of year is around 75 in Central Oregon and we will likely be around that number through the weekend.

There will be a brief spike in temps on Thursday with the mercury rising to near or slightly above 80 then a bit of a cool down Friday and Saturday as the flow of air switches to more of a northwest flow.

We close out the summer season with slightly cooler temperatures than normal, but plenty of sunshine.  High pressure will take over the western portion of the country, keeping the area dry and near normal as far as temperatures go.

Sunday at 5:44 am the direct rays of the Sun will be over the equator, the Autumnal Equinox. There will be equal parts daylight and darkness on that day and we begin our journey toward winter as the days will be shorter than the nights until next Spring.
