Temperatures on first day in October will be well above normal

This morning will be another brisk one! Morning temperatures won’t be quite as cold as yesterday, but you’ll definitely still want to grab a warm jacket and dress in layers. Lows tonight won’t be nearly as cold, but keep your jacket handy because there will be a couple more chilly nights for us this week.

Our afternoon temperatures will spike into the low to mid 80s today, putting us 10-15 degrees above normal for this time of year. The average high for the first of October in Bend is 70 degrees. Today’s skies will be mostly sunny and your afternoon breeze will gust 10-20mph from the northwest.

This week, temperatures will move like a wave–generally, the overall pattern doesn’t change too much. We’ll see afternoon highs change from 2-5 degrees above normal to 7-10 degrees above normal every few days. A cold front moves through tomorrow morning dropping our daytime temperatures a bit closer to normal, making us breezy at times, and cooling our overnight temperatures.

Dry conditions help to keep our skies crispy clear until the end of the week. The calm, consistent, and comfortable weather will carry through our extended forecast period.

Have a great Tuesday! We’re in officially in spooky season.
