More mix, rain, and mountain snow through the weekend
Highs today will be in the 40s and 50s. Lows tonight in the 20s and 30s. Today will look pretty similar to yesterday. For the first day of November, we will be about 5 degrees below normal.
Central Oregon received light showers through the day yesterday. Southern Deschutes County saw some snow but even Bend had a short snowfall in the morning. About a tenth of an inch of rain fell, give or take some. We’ll see more showers today, starting in the morning and continuing through the afternoon. They are expected to break up and become more isolated in the evening and overnight.
Early this morning, La Pine and Sunriver could see more snow fall. A wintry mix is likely across the high desert in the morning before flakes turn to rain in the afternoon. A number of areas dipped near and below freezing last night, so once again, roads could be slick with some patchy ice and/or snow melt. Continue to give yourself time to drive safely during this winter weather pattern.
The Winter Weather Advisory for west Deschutes and Jefferson County expires tonight at 5pm as well as the Winter Storm Warning for the Cascades.
This winter pattern is expected to last through Saturday, with a possible stray shower Sunday morning. Please refer to the banner at the top of the screen for the most updated information as changes to the alerts are possible over the weekend.
Sunday is Daylight Saving Time which means we set our clocks back one hour (and gain an extra hour of sleep)!
Happy Friday and have a great weekend. Please be safe!
