Rain continues but a clearing is expected next week

Rain will move in tonight and continue through the day tomorrow. Friday will be our heaviest day of widespread rain. A warm front will pass through overnight which keeps our overnight temperatures mild, meaning we won’t see any snow this time around. Lows tonight will be in the 30s and 40s.

Rain showers will be on and off all day tomorrow, accumulating around a half of an inch. There is a chance for a light, spotty shower to linger early Saturday before we dry out for the rest of the weekend.

After the passage of the front, we will be in the warm sector which will increase our afternoon highs above normal. We will reach upper 40s to mid 50s. Temperatures will drop again and hover around normal, or just below, through next week. Normal this time of year is the mid 40s.

Mt. Bachelor has received over 2 new feet of snow this week. The mountain will reopen this weekend for pass holders and open its daily operations for the season next weekend.

Next week looks to settle down a bit, after a very active weather week. We remain mostly dry, with a slim chance for an isolated shower on Monday.

Happy Thursday. Have a great rest of your day!
