Low level clouds filter the sunshine, more wet weather Friday
Expect to see the fog and low clouds linger into the night with little in the way of relief. Mostly cloudy skies are likely Wednesday as the clouds linger along the surface. The view from the mountains shows a sunny day with high level cirrus clouds and a lovely day. The dreary pattern over the high desert remains as the low clouds filter the sunshine.
Wednesday will be similar to today with the chance for some low level cloudiness filtering the sun and high clouds in the sky. The mercury in the thermometer is expected to reach the low 50s in some spots as a mild pattern drops in for a while. The highs the rest of the work week are likely to be in the upper 40s.
Thursday looks like the sunny day of the week as there will be less moisture trapped at low elevations. The moisture may linger in the morning Thursday so we may still see the mist for your commute, but all indications are that sunny skies will prevail on Thursday afternoon.
Friday will see the clouds return and a weak wave of energy will drift across the area. The chance for some light snow on the mountains and some cold rain over the high desert is about 40 percent. These showers will best be described as “passing showers” during the day and will make the roads slick. The wet roads will linger into the evening, so some black ice may form in the area.
Saturday will be chilly as afternoon high temperatures will only hit the low 40s. Sky conditions will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day. Sunday will see a bit more sunshine but temps stay chilly. A slight warming trend is on the docket for Monday and Tuesday with temps in the middle 40s.
