Spring feel: mild, dry, and sensible weather take over for the remainder of the week

We’re on the cooler side this morning, but not for long. Afternoon highs are expected to get back into the mid and upper 50s. Skies will be mostly sunny and winds will gust around 15-20mph. It will be breezy, but not as windy as we’ve been the last couple days. Lows tonight will drop back down into the 20s and 30s.

A high pressure is overhead today and is contributing to the mild and dry weather. We’ll see temperatures start tipping into the 60s tomorrow and then reach the mid 60s by Friday, ending February feeling very much like spring. Normal for this time of year is in the upper 40s.

Meteorological spring will begin on March 1st, although the official first day of spring occurs on the equinox. This year, that will happen on March 20th.

The dry pattern will continue for the remainder of the work week. The next chance for rain is on Sunday. With that being said, it looks pretty minimal, falling as spotty rain or even just a passing shower.

Happy Wednesday and have a nice day! The next few days will be great days to get outside and enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer.
