Ending February with sunny skies and record-breaking temps
We broke a few record highs across the region yesterday and there are more in jeopardy today! Believe it or not, we could see some 70-degree temperatures out there this afternoon. Highs today will reach the mid 60s to low 70s under sunny skies. Get outside and soak up some of that vitamin D! Meteorological Spring starts tomorrow but these “false spring” conditions won’t stick around for forever.

A cooling trend begins on Saturday as a low pressure approaches and pushes the current high pressure eastward. We’ll stay above normal, in the 50s and 60s on Saturday but be back to near normal, in the 40s and 50s, by Sunday.
The placement of this low pressure has proven itself to be a little tricky, but is slowly becoming a little clearer. It will drop further south, meaning we won’t be seeing the brunt of the precipitation it’s bringing. In fact, right now it looks like we’ll just get some spotty rain and mix for a day or two, starting Sunday and lingering into Monday. We’ll be cloudier through the weekend and into early next week and likely feel a bit misty, but the rain will be on the light side.
Happy Friday! Have a fantastic weekend.
