Mild and dry today but a wintry pattern takes over tomorrow night
We are in the transitional stage between winter and spring therefore “seesaw” weather, or rather “whiplash” weather, is what we’re experiencing. The mild and dry pattern from the weekend is lingering into this week. Look for partly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 50s today. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s and 30s.
An upper level low is developing off our coast and will get here by Tuesday night or early Wednesday. It’s bringing with it rain, snow, and cooler temperatures. This wintry pattern will continue all the way through the weekend, off and on. In otherwards, plan for a wet and chilly St. Paddy’s weekend.
As this low pressure first approaches, plan for a lot of rain mingled in with the snow. Our mild temperatures will inhibit snowfall and accumulation on the roads. However, as our temperatures cool and we receive rounds of snow throughout the week, we’ll be able to pick up a little more by the end of the week.
I’ll be tracking snow totals throughout the week. Tune into to Sunrise on KTVZ between 5-7am.
Happy Monday. Have a nice day.
