The region feeling the warmer than normal conditions arriving from the southwest today and through Wednesday.  Highs will be in the 70s most locations, with normal highs being in the low to middle 50s. This warmer than normal pattern will be here only a short time, so if you are a fan of the milder weather, get out and enjoy.  The shift back to normal is slated for Thursday.

There is a caveat this week as the Storm Prediction Center has placed portions of Oregon under the Marginal Risk for severe storms on Wednesday.  The storms expected in Oregon on Wednesday will more than likely be out of our viewing area, and are also going to be late in the evening, so the chance for our Tri-Counties to hear the rumble of thunder is possible, but very low. This will be updated several times a day, so I will monitor that for you and keep you informed and safe.

As for the forecast, expect to see temps in the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, even as the clouds move in late day Wednesday.  There will be some rain and gusty winds late Wednesday through Thursday, but scattered and isolated.  Keep the rain gear handy and an eye to the sky.

The temperatures drop back to normal on Thursday and stay in the 50s for the next several days. Rain showers and high level snow is going to be off and on Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will be above freezing in the region below 3500 feet so the snow, if any, will fall on the mountains and higher parts of the area like La Pine and Sisters.  Not much will accumulate since we are mild now and the snow will melt on contact with the ground to start.

Saturday will be dry, Sunday will provide us with some light rain at times.

Please stay safe.
