Cooling back to near normal as wet weather continues

After record warmth this week, our temperatures will drop back to near normal today, in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. We’ll see temperatures continue to cool heading into the weekend, dropping just below normal on Saturday.

Spotty rain is expected through the day as the upper level low that brought active, stormy weather the last couple days makes its exit. We will dry out for the day Saturday, but a passing shower is expected late Sunday with more widespread wet weather early next week.

Due to the cooling temperatures, and our overnight lows getting back to near freezing at times, there is a chance to see some snow mingled in with the rain in the night or early morning hours, especially in our higher terrain. No accumulation is expected.

Continue to keep an eye out for potential minor flooding along waterways as we head into the weekend.

Have a happy Friday and a nice weekend!
