Warmest day of the week, with the chance for a late passing shower

Temperatures will rise even more today, topping out in the mid 60s to low 70s. Cloud cover and winds will increase through the afternoon as a cold front approaches.

There is a chance for a passing shower late this evening, but the moisture associated with the incoming system is lackluster. The mountains will do a good job at eating a lot of it up before it reaches us. There is a decent chance the Cascades get a little selfish and take it all and we see nothing, but I’ll keep the slight chance of rain for the few who might see some drops on their windshields.

It looks like eastern and southeastern Oregon could see some thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. The action will miss Central Oregon entirely and we’ll remain dry and partly cloudy.

Central Oregon cools tomorrow into the mid 50s to low 60s. Temperatures will drop even more on Saturday to below normal. We will recover quickly heading into early next week, getting back into the 60s.

Happy Thursday. Have a nice day!
