Temperatures cool to near normal today but we hold on to the sunshine

A low pressure is dipping down to our east and is bringing slightly cooler temperatures and gusty winds. We will remain dry and sunny this afternoon. Any precipitation this system brings will stay to to our east as it clips the eastern edge of Oregon.

Look for highs to top out in the mid to upper 50s, with Redmond, Madras, and Warm Springs tipping into the 60s. This is a very typical mid-April day for Central Oregon.

The low exits tomorrow as a weak high pressure creeps in. It will do just enough to heat us back up into the low to mid 60s for the day before it flattens out on Saturday.

Temperatures will remain mild Saturday, hovering a few degrees above normal but a cold front will make its way across Oregon bringing clouds back to the region. Cooler air behind the front will have us back to near normal for Easter Sunday. It looks like it'll be a crisp start on Sunday, so plan to dress warm for your early morning plans.

Happy Thursday! Have a nice day.
