Passing showers possible Saturday, clearing out Easter Sunday
The chance for a stray shower is back in the forecast for Saturday as a brief bout of rain returns to Central Oregon. The rain will be light and short lived, probably not much more than a trace or at most a tenth of an inch. Overall, Saturday will be mostly cloudy and mild. Winds will be noticeable, but not to impactful, arriving from the Northwest by the afternoon at about 10 – 15 mph.
Easter Sunday will be partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures in the upper 50s. If you are planning to celebrate Easter Sunday with a sunrise service, be prepared for a cold start to the day, as temps will be near or just above freezing at sunrise (6:12 am in Bend). Easter egg hunts will be much warmer as the temps in the mid-morning will be in the upper 40s to near 50.
Monday brings back the sunshine and 60s with a pleasant start to the last full week of April. Not much rain this month, but we are still not classified in any drought categories.
Tuesday will be dry and slightly milder with highs in the low 60s. Wednesday will be the end of the dry pattern with clouds moving in as the day moves along. Rain is not expected until Thursday, but Wednesday will be the “set-up” day. Spotty rain is possible both Thursday and Friday.
