Increasing clouds today before rain returns tomorrow

Look for clouds to increase through the afternoon today, becoming overcast this evening. We’ll see enough sun to heat us up to the mid to upper 60s and a few low 70s today.

Rain returns Friday in the mid afternoon and will continue through the night, with some heavier rains at times. Showers will linger into Saturday before tapering off. I’m tracking the potential for around a half inch of rain in our higher elevations with a tenth to a quarter inch elsewhere by the end of the rain event. Most of the rain will fall tonight. Showers on Saturday will be light. We could see some minor flooding along river banks.

Temperatures will start cooling by a few degrees each day through the weekend, dropping just below normal by Sunday.
