Smoke from yesterday’s prescribed burn just outside of Bend is lingering in areas from Bend south. Moderate to unhealthy air quality is being observed this morning. Smoke will linger through the Bend area today, but should progressively clear into Thursday.

Temperatures today are in the mid 70s to low 80s under partly cloudy skies. Winds will be gusty this afternoon, blowing around 20-25mph. There is a chance for some light mountain showers along the Cascades and in the Blues, and some rain in the Valley, but Central Oregon should stay dry. If you’re out in the Ochocos in Crook County this afternoon, you might see a rogue raindrop, but I wouldn’t change your plans for it.

Skies will clear through Thursday with temperatures topping out in the low to mid 70s.

A ridge of high pressure builds north into our region as we head into the weekend, raising our temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s. Mostly sunny skies are expected. Make sure to stay hydrated through any Friday and Saturday plans.

Rain and cooler temperatures return as we head into next week.

Have a happy Wednesday!
