Widespread showers and cooler temperatures to start the work week

A low pressure system is taking over today, bringing wet and cool weather. Temperatures today and tomorrow are dropping below normal, into the 50s. Plan for widespread showers to fall pretty consistently through the day. You might notice heavier rains at times. I’m tracking between 0.10ā€ and 0.25ā€ across the high desert by the end of the day.

There is a slight chance for a few isolated storms in the mid afternoon, but better development chances east and north. Most likely, you’ll hear a rumble of thunder and that’ll be about it.

Lingering rain will continue early Tuesday on the back end of this system as it starts to move east. By Tuesday night, we should be dry.

Dry weather will return for the remainder of the work week. Plan for highs in the 60s. It will be breezy through the week, but otherwise sensible weather. You can expect variably cloudy conditions.

By the weekend, we could see some rain again but it’ll be short lived. I’ll continue to track future rainfall as we approach the end of the week.

Happy Monday. Have a nice day!
