Mostly dry and quiet conditions through the week

This week is setting up to be pretty quiet and normal. We’ll see temperatures hover a few degrees below or above normal and a couple chances for light, short-lived rain. Temperatures are slightly cooler to start the week but will warm to right around 70, give or take a few degrees, from Wednesday into the weekend.

It’s typical weather for Central Oregon this time of year.

Today, there is a slim chance of seeing a stray shower, but most of the rain will stay to the mountains and whatever tries to develop over Central Oregon will struggle to make it to the ground. You might catch a rogue raindrop but most of us will stay dry.

The next chance for rain will be Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, likely during hours where most people are sleeping.

For the most part, we’re working with very little moisture this week and a near zonal flow, which means our general airflow moves straight west to east. Things look to shift a bit by the end of the week, but this zonal flow should keep conditions quiet for at least the next few days.

Happy Monday! Have a great day and a better week.
