Chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, cooler temps on Monday

A ridge of high pressure is keeping us warm, with highs topping out in the 80s. It was a sunny start to the day, but increasing cloud cover is moving in.

An approaching weather system will produce chances of rain showers, with isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and continuing into the night.

While these storms aren't expected to be severe, they could cause disruptions to outdoor plans. This is why we issued a yellow level 'Local Alert Weather Day.' Just a heads up!

Overnight lows will drop into the 40s. According to our Futuretrack, showers should clear out early Memorial Day.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny, with cooler temperatures. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

We'll warm up again on Tuesday with highs in the 80s once again.

By Wednesday, many areas could reach the 90s. Perfect weather to float down the river or relax by the pool.

The warm and sunny pattern will be sticking around through the rest of the week. Lather on your sunscreen and stay hydrated out there!
