Quiet and dry pattern with warming temperatures

Temperatures will hit the low to mid 70s today, which is just a few degrees above normal for this time of year. Plan for another day of full sunshine and breezy afternoon winds, gusting between 20 and 25mph.

Our upper level pattern is currently so large, it is expected to remain stagnant this week. We are in between a large ridge of high pressure and a low pressure trough. This will keep us dry and warm this week, with temperatures heating up a few degrees each day. We’ll see highs in the 80s by the end of the week.

This stubborn pattern will break down enough so that the high pressure can move east into our region for the weekend. When the high pressure finally takes over, we’ll see temperatures heat up into the 80s and low to mid 90s for areas across Central Oregon. It’ll be another busy weekend on the river!

Have a happy Tuesday.
