A hot weekend ahead with Central Oregon records on the line

Temperatures today will get into the mid 70s and low 80s. Look out for another day under mostly sunny skies and winds gusting around 20mph this afternoon.

The upper level pattern will break down just in time for the weekend. The high pressure that is currently parked over the Pacific will have a chance to move inland over the weekend. This will have our temperatures heating into the upper 80s and low to mid 90s. We have a chance to see some records broken throughout the weekend.

Summer-like conditions will continue into early next week, with the 90s lingering on Monday. We’re keeping the sunshine and above normal temperatures in the 80s until at least mid week.

Stay safe in the heat. Make sure you’re staying hydrated, taking breaks, and using caution if recreating on the water!

Happy Thursday! Have a nice day.
