Hot and dry conditions persist for Central Oregonians

Temperatures today are topping out in the low to mid 90s under sunny skies. In addition to the heat, we have dry and breezy conditions, so fire danger is elevated. Winds will gust near 20-25mph this afternoon. Although conditions aren’t critical, it will provide difficulty for firefighters across the region today. Remember to always practice fire safety.

Tomorrow, temperatures cool to near normal. Look for highs to be in the low to mid 80s providing a little relief from the heat. Soak it up, because the 90s will make a quick comeback Wednesday and stick around for the remainder of the work week.

You can plan for sunshine all week–Sunscreen and water will be your best friends.

Have a happy Monday.
