Clouds build Sunday with a chance of late showers
Today’s afternoon highs are in the mid 80s, typical for this time of year. Even though it's not as hot as Friday, the air is still really dry. With the breezy conditions, fire danger remains high.
The Cram Fire remains active and is nearing mega fire status. This afternoon, a few new fires also sparked today in the Jefferson County area.
Clouds increase Sunday with a slight chance of late showers, but most rain may not reach the ground. Highs will top out in the low to mid 80s tomorrow.
Monday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance for an afternoon shower or isolated thunderstorm. Any rainfall looks light and spotty. Temperatures drop again, putting us in the upper 70s to low 80s.
We’ll start to dry out and warm up a bit on Tuesday. Highs climb back into the 90s by Wednesday and Thursday. Whether you prefer cool, cloudy skies or hot, sunny weather, we’ve got a bit of both in the forecast this week.
Enjoy your Saturday!
