Rain chances are tapering off but temperatures are staying cool

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

There’s a chance for scattered showers today but rain is progressively moving east and tapering off for the 97 corridor. You can bring a raincoat to work just in case, but you might not have to use it.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the eastern half of Central Oregon and for the majority of Eastern Oregon until tonight. This alert is primarily for debris flows that are possible on and near burn scar areas. A flash flood was reported yesterday on the Telephone Fire burn scar in Harney County.

Skies will clear and drier conditions will take over Friday and Saturday. Temperatures are expected to heat back into the mid 70s to low 80s both days as a weak ridge quickly passes through the region. The comfortable and sensible weather will be brief-lived as a low pressure follows behind the high. Rain and cooler temperatures return Sunday.
