Dry and sunny pattern with above normal temperatures this week

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

The forecast this week is quiet, calm, and sensible.

A ridge of high pressure has built into the region and will keep us warm and dry over the coming days. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s for the remainder of the work week. Normal for this time of year is in the mid to upper 70s.

The atmosphere is dry, which means rain is out this week. Heading into the second half of the week, winds will pick up a little as an upper level low swings nearby but moisture with this system is lackluster. Plan for a few breezy afternoons but otherwise nothing of note. Skies will be mostly clear but turn partly cloudy by the end of the week.

This is a great week to get outdoors and enjoy a hike, a bike ride, or maybe plan a camping trip. Overnight temperatures are a little cool at times, so pack accordingly. Some areas will drop into the 30s.

Afternoon highs will drop back into the 70s this weekend.

Have a great Tuesday!
