Cool fall weekend continues, Freeze Watch Sunday night

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - It was another cool fall day across the High Desert with highs in the 50s and 60s.

Overnight low will drop into the 30s and 40s under mostly cloudy skies.

Clouds will decrease Sunday, gradually becoming more sunny during the afternoon. Temperatures will be similar to today, just a few degrees cooler.

A stronger freeze is expected late Sunday night into Monday morning. A Freeze Watch is in effect for Central Oregon as clear skies, dry air, and calm winds allow temperatures to dip into the mid 20s to low 30s.

Frost and freeze conditions could damage crops and other sensitive plants, so be sure to take the steps to protect them.

High pressure builds early next week, bringing dry and slightly warmer weather. It’ll be a chilly start Monday morning, but temperatures will warm up nicely in the afternoon.

Expect mostly sunny skies Monday with highs in the 60s, then warming into the low 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Another system moves in by midweek, which could bring showers back to our region by Thursday.

Enjoy your weekend!
