Scattered showers and breezy winds today, dry into the weekend

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

Pack your raincoat this morning because light, scattered showers are expected to fall throughout the day. Rain will be off and on but tapering off overnight. Totals will be around a tenth of an inch, give or take.

A cold front is passing through today which will bring breezy winds. Winds will gust between 20-30mph ahead of the front.

Temperatures today are still mild, with highs roughly 12-15 degrees above seasonal averages. Plan for highs in the 60s. Cooler air takes over tomorrow and temperatures will drop into the 50s. Temperatures will be in the 50s all weekend.

For the most part, Friday should be dry. Partly cloudy skies are expected until late Sunday.

Overnight Sunday is the next opportunity for a mixture of rain and snow in the high desert. At first, precipitation will fall as mostly rain but as temperatures continue to cool Monday, plan more snow mingled in. You could be running into a slick morning commute at the top of next week.

Happy Thursday. Have a nice day.
