Mountain snow Sunday, a few stray showers for lower elevations

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We began the weekend with sunshine and mild highs, but clouds start to move in tomorrow.

As we head into the overnight hours, temperatures will dip into the upper 20s to low 30s under partly cloudy skies.

A cold front arrives Sunday, dropping snow levels through the afternoon & evening. Expect snowfall over the mountains with a chance for a few stray rain/mix showers in the lower elevations.

Highs will reach the low to mid 50s with breezy west winds.

No winter alerts have been issued but this system could bring between 0.5-2” of snow over the Cascades.

Monday will be cool and dry with highs in the low to mid 40s. Expect mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures rebound into the mid to upper 50s by midweek, with a slight chance for showers and only a very low chance of any snow in Central Oregon.
