Breezy and mild Thanksgiving, progressively cooler through the weekend

Bend, Ore (KTVZ). There may still be some light rain and snow across the Cascades today as some moisture remains in the region. Overnight there is still a good deal of moisture close to the surface for some patchy fog, so when coming home from your holiday visits, travel may be slightly impacted.

Friday will be dry and mild with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Overall, the region will be on the quiet side moving forward through the rest of the long holiday weekend.

Saturday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with temperatures slightly cooler than Friday. Highs will reach the middle 40s, which is about where the mercury should end up this time of year. Normal high for late November is around 44 degrees. Winds will be gusting to around 15mph along the east face of the Cascades at times. Late in the day Central Oregon may see some clouds move across the region as Eastern Oregon has a chance to see some light snow.

Sunday will be the coolest day of the long weekend with highs reaching the low 40s. After some clouds in the morning the skies will become mostly to partly sunny in the afternoon.

Dry and mild weather returns on Monday as highs reach the low 50s. Light winds and a mix of sunny skies and some clouds. Clouds become more prevalent in the late day time frame, but no rain is expected.

Tuesday will be cloudy with some light rain and a wintry mix passing through the region. Highs still above normal, near 50, so if you do get any precipitation, it will be in the form of rain. The Cascades and the Ochocos will see a mix of rain and snow, but only light and spotty showers are expected.

A dry and quiet pattern is on the docket for next Wednesday and Thursday.

Please, Stay safe.
