Off and on showers expected Sunday, mostly rain
Happy Saturday!
It was quiet start to the weekend with highs in the low to mid 40s. We did see some sunshine earlier, but more clouds are rolling in.
Rain returns tomorrow, and a wintry mix could mix in with some of those showers.
Highs will stay in the low to mid 40s, feeling very similar to Saturday.
Be prepared for winter driving if you’re heading through the passes. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the East Slopes of the Cascades from 12am Sunday into 4am Monday.
Snow showers increase Sunday morning and continue through the day, with periods of heavier snow possible. An additional 4 to 8 inches could accumulate.
A few lingering showers are possible overnight into Monday, but the day itself should turn mostly dry and breezy. Highs rebound into the upper 40s.
Tuesday brings the chance for a few passing showers, with light rain and snow possible across Central Oregon under mostly cloudy skies.
Christmas Eve should be pleasant and mild for December, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 40s.
So, will we see a White Christmas?
Right now, it looks like maybe a flurry or two early in the morning, but not enough to accumulate. A slight chance of rain appears more likely.
Temperatures stay steady in the mid 40s through Friday.
