Slight warm up on Sunday, quiet pattern ahead
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re wrapping up the holiday weekend with a colder pattern in place. Cold air moved in from the northwest, keeping highs in the low to upper 30s.
Tonight may be one of the coldest nights of the season so far, with temperatures dropping into the teens and low 20s.
Temperatures rebound slightly Sunday, followed by mostly sunny skies and gradual warming as high pressure builds across the Pacific Northwest.
A mostly dry pattern will remain in place over the next few days. Late next week, the ridge begins to break down, bringing a return of precipitation, though timing and amounts are still uncertain.
Highs reach the mid 40s early in the week and climb into the low 50s by midweek.
It looks like we'll be ringing in the new year with clear and chilly conditions on New Year's Eve. Temperatures will be in the 30s around midnight.
We’re tracking a chance of rain, possibly mixing with snow on New Year’s Day. Thursday skies will be partly sunny, with highs in the mid 40s.
