Mild and dry pattern in place through the long term forecast

BEND, Ore (KTVZ) -
A ridge of high pressure has parked itself over the West and is bringing sunshine and above normal temperatures this week. The region is expected to be quiet with little change throughout the week, making it pretty much a temperature forecast.
Temperatures today will be in the upper 40s to middle 50s under a few passing clouds. Winds could be a little breezy at times. Lows tonight will be in the 20s and 30s.
An Air Quality Alert is out for Deschutes County until 10am but it is really just for La Pine. La Pine is seeing unhealthy air quality this morning. This alert could be extended, and we’ll monitor changes as the day progresses.
Temperatures are expected to get into the mid to upper 50s by mid week. Temperatures will dip slightly for the second half of the week, with highs in the 40s and lower 50s. The seasonal average is in the lower 40s for this time of year.
Right now, it looks like a pretty good chance we’ll stay dry through the end of the month. Plan for snow melt and icy to slushy runs until we get more mountain snow.
Have a good Monday.
