Some patchy freezing fog this morning, but conditions are improving

KTVZ-TV

Some areas are starting off with patchy freezing fog this morning, but overall conditions have improved from Monday.

Be extra cautious if you’re driving this morning. If you see “freezing fog” in the forecast, it can lead to low visibility and slick spots from black ice forming on the roads.

Fog has kept Central Oregon on the chilly side lately, with weekend highs only reaching the upper 20s and low 30s thanks to lingering mist.

Today, we’ll warm up into the mid to upper 40s as more sunshine breaks through.

Expect partly sunny skies today and tomorrow, with more sunshine building into the weekend.

Looking ahead, we’re returning to the normal pattern of sunny skies and clear nights, with several more quiet days and above normal temperatures.

The Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect until 4pm today. As we break out of the inversion, air quality should gradually improve.
