Foggy pattern finally showing signs of ending, cold pattern remains
Saturday will see highs in the low to middle 30s with partly to mostly sunny skies and light winds. Although the foggy pattern is taking a break, this will give the sun a chance to provide some melting of the soft ice on our trees and fences.
Sunday will be misty in a few pockets once again, but widespread fog is not anticipated. With the cold air mass in place, we will only reach the low and middle 30s. Â As the day moves along the clouds start to move in, lower and thicken, ahead of a mostly cloudy night.
Monday will be mostly cloudy and mild with highs in the upper 40s. A passing shower is possible in the afternoon, but not much consequence. The mostly cloudy skies will not allow us to warm up much, but the ridge of high pressure responsible for the warmup may help. But, if the fog doesn’t get pushed out by this new ridge, we are looking at more chilly and misty weather next week.
The area of high pressure does want to warm us up by the middle of the week and we are expecting to hit the 50s by Thursday or Friday.
