Warmer than normal, chance for light rain today

KTVZ-TV

Good Thursday morning!

Expect mostly cloudy skies to persist until we start to see more sunshine this weekend.

Today there’s a slight chance for showers, but we expect very little moisture to make it to the Tri-Counties.

Temperatures will already be the upper 30s to low 40s by 8am this morning.

Afternoon highs will warm into the mid 40s to low 50s with some breezy winds. These temperatures are mild for January here, but it’s still a good idea to wear layers.

In the mountains, light snow falls on and off, though this won’t be a big snow week for local resorts.

Another weak system is expected to move in Friday, but there should be little impact east of the Cascades. Dry conditions will return as high pressure builds.

Temperatures stay in the 50s again Friday, and that warmer pattern holds into the weekend. Saturday looks dry and mild, while Sunday brings more clouds and a chance for a passing shower.
