Freezing Fog Advisory in effect this morning, rain returns this weekend

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Good Friday morning!

Freezing fog is the main issue early today, with an advisory in place until 10am. Expect reduced visibility and the potential for slick spots, especially during the morning commute.

High pressure has been impacting the western United States for several days. While it brings warmer temperatures and sunshine, it can also lead to fog development and air quality issues.

If the fog clears out by mid-morning, we’ll warm up nicely with more sunshine and highs in the low to mid 50s. But if that fog is stubborn, temperatures may only reach the 40s.

A pattern change arrives tomorrow. Increasing clouds are expected ahead of light rain arriving Sunday. The mild pattern will remain in place with highs in the 50s.

Monday will be partly sunny with a chance for a lingering shower. Highs will only rise into the mid 40s next week which is bringing us back to normal temperatures for this time of year. Mostly dry conditions are expected.
